Filipinos are big fans of technology—the internet, smart phones, social media, mobile apps, and so on. Data from the We Are Social and Hootsuite’s Digital 2019 Reports offer some interesting revelations regarding Filipinos’ use of digital technologies:

  • 76 million Filipinos are active users of the internet and social media platforms, and out of this number, 72 million are accessing social media via mobile.
  • Out of a maximum possible score of 100, the Philippines garnered a rating of 60.69 in terms of availability of content and services online.
  • The top 5 mobile activities of Filipinos involve using messaging apps, watching videos, playing games, making financial transactions, and using map services.

These figures can only mean one thing—that is, consumers and customers are constantly looking for informative and engaging content using the technologies that are available to them. With that said, your business can leverage the growth of the marketing industry in the Philippines to attract the country’s millions of digital users and consumers.
